Head control

SO, Nicholas has had me worried about his head control. Celia is one strong cookie and she has had head control for quite a while. At a pediatrician visit this week the Dr mentioned that tummy time develops some muscles for head control, but he should also practice other muscles. So, he showed me how to gently hold him under the shoulders while he lays on his back and pull him up and he needs to practice keeping his head in line with his body. Then I also have to sit him up and have him practice keeping his head from bobbing. Since Monday he has made a vast improvement! Yippee! So fun to see him improve. Now, Nicholas is better on tummy time and Celia needs to get that going. This reminds me of those sausage races at Brewers baseball games when one sausage seems ahead, then the other one gets in the front and keeps switching. Just when I think one baby is a little ahead, the other starts to catch up and then the one ahead shows other things he/she needs to work on. Those silly babies!!! The joys of being a new mom to two at once. Everything is new times 2 all the while comparing. I have even compared whether they have veins in the same place. Yup, they do.
