Letter E and Letter F

This month has been a whirlwind. we haven't done as many activities as I had before, but we did as many as I could plan for. I had a photography workshop, 3 photo sessions, studying photography @ night, being a mom of 3, grocery shopping, cleaning.... planning activities hasn't been my strongest point the last couple weeks. I feel as though once I can get up this hill of starting a business, I'll be able to {hopefully} schedule my time more effectively. I have an actual business license now! I'm hoping to be able to get my website and professional blog up this summer or early Fall. It's SO exciting to me. I just love it.
So, here are some pictures of the letters they have made. This week we're going to continue with Letter F, so I'll add more Letter F in another time.

Letter E
(my camera battery had died and I forgot to recharge for a # of days, so there are only a couple photos)

We also did a Hap Palmer song about Elephants, watched a Nat Geo Kid's elephant video.

Letter F

They cut out strips of white and red on their own and set out a pattern and then glued them down with a milk cap of glue and a paintbrush. they did quite well. They are both really good at AB patterning.

A ziploc bag with shaving creme and some paint in there. Then they made shapes and letters with different tools. I didn't think it worked out so well, but Celia liked it a lot.

Using a large push-pin to 'dot' the letter F, f. They did great this week on this. The carpet piece keeps it from poking the table. This is a Montessori activity.

Practicing ABC patterns with some little manipulatives on Letters F and f

Celia really seems to have a strength in math skills...

And some fun taking walks outside. :) This Wednesday I'm hoping to take them to the Nature Center for a frog-hunt in the wetlands which is geared for 3-5 year olds. I'll have aaron in the ergo carrier on my back, but I'm sure he'll learn from it too.

*Poor little boy has to ride a pink tinkerbell scooter....

Looking classy!

  1. looks like you have had a great week!! Lots of fun activities! I haven't tried the paint in the ziploc yet, maybe we should. I have taken a break too, just had too much going on, but I am going to try to do some letter F stuff this week!
