Celia's Firsts and Nicholas' Angry-face

Celia has her first tooth!!! Finally. Her lower left tooth came in on Saturday (we think). Her tooth on the right is just about through as well. She is also pulling to stand a lot! Today she would crawl up behind me and pull up holding on to my pants and she would pull to stand at the couch too. She is getting so big!

We also taught her to stand with us supporting her waist and we say "put your hands down" and she will put her hands down on the floor and tuck her head and we help her do a somersault. :) Nicholas can do it too, but he doesnt tuck his head so it is a bit more awkward looking. :)

Nicholas also has started making his angry-face. When he isnt happy he clenches his hands into fists and makes his mean face and gets all red. It is soooo funny. Sometimes he does it when he is in a good mood and he is being silly, but other times when you move him from someplace he wants to be or take something away from him he just clenches those fists and makes that face. I caught a mildly angry-face today. I just laugh every time I see it. Poor kid is trying to get across his feelings and Mommy is laughing.

Here comes angry face....

He looks so funny with the one tooth. It almost looks like it is dead-center in his mouth.

This weekend we took them in their little sleds again. We were at Grandma and Grandpa Velicer's again this weekend so we could visit Jason's sister Lori from Minnesota. Lori and Jeff have two children - Kaylee and Andrew. Andrew is in the pictures playing outside while the twins were sledding. There is a lot less snow where Jason's parents live than at our house so the sleds glided along easier than at our house. You can see the "Green Bay" of Lake Michigan in the background (the vast white sheet of ice and snow).

  1. It looks so cold!! That's less snow? You guys must get a lot.

Brody does the exact same angry face, fists and all! And I laugh too sometimes! Nicholas tooth is really in, that came in fast. It's so cute. And so glad Celia's are coming in. How cute that she does a somersault! Maybe she'll be your little gymnast. We say that about Kat because of her size and no fear attitude.

  3. LOL! What a funny angry face! I love the one little tooth. Hey, where did you get those sleds? Do they have seat belts? We are going to a ski resort in Feb, and I want to buy a couple sleds to take the babies out in so we can watch the boys go tubing.

  4. Peggy, we bought them at Fleet Farm (AKA Farm and Fleet) in Wisconsin. I think they are only midwest stores. They do have straps/seatbealts too. They do work pretty well.
I would say to look online if you dont live in an area that sells them at stores like Target or Walmart. Otherwise, check out onestepahead.com. They sell sleds for babies too. Its a neat website all together!

  6. Love the angry face!! Drew is starting to test the limits and tonight he was being a real pill at dinner. Didn't want his frozen banana, but when I tried to help hold the net thing that holds it, he did the same thing--- clenched fists, even SWATTED at me, and turned all red! I was like you-- sat back and laughed! Poor boo boo-- he has 1 tooth out and 1 on the way. Guess we can blame just about everything on those choppers. ;)
