I caught Nicholas cuddling with Aaron this morning. Isn't that so sweet?!
Nicholas and Celia have been excellent siblings to Aaron in this first week and a half. Aaron gets kissed and has his head petted countless times a day - without any prompting from Jason or I. I think N&C understood so much about Aaron coming. They knew his name, went with me to appointments, and we talked about Aaron so much. The 2 days I was in the hospital were a bit tough on them just because I was gone, but they have so much love for Aaron. Every now and then I will have them hold him if they want to. They play with him on the floor when Aaron has some tummy time or when he lays under the floor gym. Every morning they rush to find him and kiss him too.
This morning they had Cheerio's with some of Papa's honey on top (my Dad is a beekeeper so they get yummy honey). I didn't know they had honey on their fingers when they got down from the table. So a bit later I figured out why Aaron had sticky hair. ha ha
When Aaron whines to eat they say, "More Mommy milk, Aaron?" or "Hush Baby" and pet his head. Its really nice to see them so nurturing and gentle to him. Nicholas thinks it is fun to help change his diaper. Celia likes to rub her cheek against his chubby cheek. I'm really happy that they like him so much. Perhaps with twins it is easier since neither of them was the only child?
Hey! We had the same floor gym. That brought back memories! *L* I'm so glad N&C are in love with Aaron as much as you are. :) And you're probably right....twins were never the only child so maybe it is an easier transition for them when a new baby comes along.
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet! lol Funny about the sticky hair too ... awww!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet. I can tell they are being so careful and gentle. N&C can show that much love because they themselves feel loved that much. That's my psychological moment for today :) Miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteAwwww! They love their little brother, how sweet!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good brother and sister N&C are! I hope that Kat & Brody will be as sweet and gentle as they are. And you were worried about Nicholas too. He seems to be making a great older brother!
