Its time for real toddler toothbrushes now. We picked up toddler brushes and baby toothpaste at Target. I have a hard time getting in to brush their teeth, but I try and then let them chew on the toothbrush for a while. Its something at least? They love these toothbrushes.
And you know, why are they called 'tooth brushes' when they are brushing teeth. Shouldn't they be 'teethbrushes'?

Ah, look at them brushing their teeth! Did you get the baby einstein toothpaste? That's what we got but it's so sticky and gets everywhere. I was reading in my parent magazine that by the age of 1 they should see a dentist, but I just can't imagine taking them to a dentist and having them cooperate. I have a hard time with the teeth brushing too, so they both end up just chewing on the brush as well. You're right, at least it's something!

This is what we do too. I tell them Mommy has to brush first, then they get a chance to gnaw on it! Better than nothing!

We can barely get even a finger in their mouths since teething started....not even to apply nummy gummy. They did so good before the teeth started coming in. Maybe we should try real tooth brushes. We have a baby safety one that they both love to chew on and carry around. hmmmm.....

ReplyDeleteI bought my "teeth brushes" early. I wanted to have something useful in their stockings. So, now they are in the medicine chest brandy new ready for use! I think I could start.. Faith just cut a 3rd! Brandon still has 1.
