I've been having Nicholas and Celia sit at the table in their highchairs (trays removed, wearing the seat belts) for snacks. It is much easier for me to clean up the table, they seem to enjoy it, and its fun sitting at the table with them like they are big kids. :) I am only using the trays for their main meals since they still get pretty messy. We have been trying very hard to eat as a family all together for dinner. And we've been able to do it most nights lately unless Jason has someplace to be. These silly kiddos like to put their feet up on the table right now. We'll work on that right after 'no elbows on the table'. lol

The Radio Flyer wood push-wagon has been quarentined to our bedroom for now. They both figured out how to take the gates off and use them as frisbees. Then they climb and it becomes a fight over who is going to sit in the wagon. So to save my nerves, it is getting a break in our bedroom with the door shut. I know they like it, but intervening two crying toddlers was getting to me! Ugh! ha ha
This is Celia climbing in the wagon.

And I don't know if I have posted before, but our cat Gideon is truly in love with these babies. He lets them pet, kiss, pull his hair, chase him. And he doesn't seem to mind at all. This is Nicholas trying to kiss him. We also practice the sign 'gentle' (gently pet your left hand with your right - or vice versa) with them when they pet the kitties so they don't hit them.
There is NO way our cats would let the boys do that!!! N&C seem like such calm babies!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the feet propped up! Too cute!
Oh bummer about the wagon! I hope mine don't discover that, although I'm sure they will! How sweet is Nicholas with Gideon, that makes me want to get a cat! How nice that you all can sit together too at dinner. We tried that for awhile and we could barely eat, so now we wait till they are down for the night. But I'd love to all eat together as a family, it's good that you are starting that early.
ReplyDeleteThe kiddos are getting sooooo big!
