Tonight I was rubbing orajel on Nicholas' teeth and I can feel a molar coming through. Its not through the gums, but I can tell its there and coming. Celia's lower right molar is also coming (her upper right is the first one through). I can tell her lower molar is very swollen, but the tooth has a way to come up yet. This explains the crabby babies we are having here/there and the waking at night. I gave them Tylenol before bed, so hopefully they sleep alright. Tylenol only lasts 4 hours, so I will probably need to give them more, or Motrin if its real bad.
Today when N&C, Grandma and I went to the park Celia said 'duck duck' a couple times at a ride-on duck. She is starting to talk like jibberish so I think she'll be saying some more words soon. Nicholas can sign duck and bird now too. Its funny because she said 'duck duck' and then he signed 'duck'. lol one talker, one signer.
Also, Jason and I were commenting that Celia is going to be a mother hen to Nicholas. She is constantly picking things up that he drops or puts down and giving them back to him. Its very cute. She will grab his Nuk and put it right in his mouth. She is constantly putting his froggy in his hands (even if he doesn't want it). If he leaves a toy car behind him that he was playing with she will run over and get it and then give it back to him. Its like she doesn't ever play because she is watching him to see what she should bring to him! She is really going to spoil him. We keep saying "Thank you Celia" hoping Nicholas will learn to thank her sometime down the road. I think it is rubbing off a little bit since Nicholas will now give her pink kitty blanket to her better and isn't running off with it like he usually does. Maybe she will be a good influence on him! How funny she is smaller than him, but she seems to feel like taking care of him is her special job. :) I can see this carrying through since Nicholas seems like more of a 'baby' (like he should be) and Celia sometimes seems like she is 15 months going on 4 years old!

Yay for new words!! And that is so sweet of Celia to watch out for Nicholas! She is going to be a great sister!!!!
ReplyDeleteCelia seems like she has the mother hen type personality to her. I think it's cute :). That's funny about the 15 months going on 4 years! I wonder what it will be like as they are older? We have noticed that Kat likes to answer for Brody. If you ask Brody an animal sound, or to point to something, Kat will jump in and do it and then Brody will copy her. I have a feeling that he will be copying off of her schoolwork when she gets older to -ha ha. Must be something about girls ...:)
ReplyDeleteOh Celia is such a sweet girl. I was just reading an article about the difference between boy and girl siblings and Nicholas and Celia are a perfect example. I wonder if Faith will become more of a mother hen. Sure doesn't look like it now!
