Fruity Cheerios

The last few days N&C haven't been very excited about breakfast. The normal menu options of oatmeal, waffles, scrambled eggs, banana have been pushed away or picked at. This morning I decided to try some fruity cheerios for breakfast. I poured them each a bowl and handed them the Gerber scooping spoons and they started eating. I expected to need to help them scoop and feed themselves something as difficult as cereal, but they surprised me. They ate almost the entire bowls by themselves with some help scooping the spoon here/there as the bowl emptied. Then I handed them a straw and they slurped most of the milk. Wow! This is a way easier way to eat breakfast! I'm so happy they have got this self-feeding down. Its taken many months of practice, but I think they've got it.

  1. Those flashback pictures are so cute, they look so little. My two love fruity cheerios too, but they still just eat it dry. I bet it is SO much easier having them feed themselves. That is cute that they sucked up the milk afterwards, I use to do that as a kid (ok, I still sometimes do that). I'll have to try it with milk next!

  5. That is awesome that they are feeding on their own. Those don't look like stick on bowls, I am curious how you get them not to pick them up and throw them. I can't even put a non-suction plate on the tray. Looks like a fun and colorful option I might have to try.
