Please pass the margarita

I am guessing Nicholas and Celia are sneaking out of the room at night and watching film from Evil Knievel's daring antics. In the last 24 hours, this is what has happened:

1. Yesterday afternoon Celia slipped in their little pool and fell under. She caught herself before fully putting her face under water. I had to run over and pull her up. Needless to say, she wanted out of the pool for the rest of the afternoon.

2. Yesterday Nicholas got a mosquito bite on his left eyebrow. This morning when he woke up it was swollen pretty bad. He can't open his eye all the way. I called the pediatrician and unless he is showing signs of infection there is nothing much to do. I can apply a cool compress (yeah, I don't think Nicholas would sit still for that) or give him Benedryl if he is real uncomfortable. He is not bothered by it, so I guess we wait it out.
He also has 3 huge bites on his head under the hair.

3. Last night I took a shower with N&C. As I was shaving my leg, Celia reached up to touch the shaving creme on my leg at the exact same time I put the razor down to my skin. I caught her finger with the razor, but she didn't make any reaction to it and just pulled her hand away and kept playing. I thought maybe I didn't really cut her. But then looked down and the water running down the drain was red.
So 45 minutes later we finally got the bleeding to stop. Grandma M. had to come over and help us out. She went to bed with 3 band-aids on. Basically about 1/3 of her fingernail was shaved off.

4. I fished a button out of Celia's mouth this morning.

5. The phone rang this morning and it was the nurse calling back about Nicholas' bug bite. I ran to get the phone and in that few seconds Celia grabbed a knife in the dishwasher. It fell and stuck into the floor by her foot. Angels were watching out for her then!

6. Nicholas pushed a suitcase to the kitchen chair and was using it as a boost to climb the chair.

7. Celia fell off her little chair and was hanging upside down.

Aside from #1, all of this happened this morning by 11am. So, if the next time you see me I have a twitch in my left eye, more gray hair and I randomly laugh at nothing, then this post may explain everything.

  5. Is the moon full? Oh my... and you thought they were getting bored?? Sounds hectic enough to me. Maybe it will calm down now for a week or two (I hope!). Take care.

  6. I was wondering where you were this AM-- not a post or anything! ;) What a CRAZY day, but you're right-- guardian angels were certainly hovering over your house. I guess they have been since they knew Celia lived there. ;)

  8. The good thing is when you have a day or week like this it can only go uphill from here, right!?! I hope that's true in your case. Poor Celia's finger :(.

Let's hope today, tomorrow, etc. are much better. One toddler is hard enough, but 2? What's funny is they will never remember any of this. Good thing you're blogging! See you later.
