We picked up a Step 2 Sand and Water Table. We needed something for them to do outside aside from digging in wood chips (Nicholas has a sliver from that!). I had heard they were selling them for a great deal at Aldi grocery store (only $49.99, normally a lot more). I can assure you that they were very messy and the sand/water were mixed, but thats what kids do. Celia wants to take the sand away and dump it in the woodchips and I wouldn't let her so it was a battle the whole time. I don't know if I should let her or if I should keep making her keep the sand at the sand table?

That is so cool!! They never tried to eat the sand? At what age do babies/toddlers stop tasting everything?
ReplyDeleteWow! That's one toy that will get a lot of use! In the winter, you can put a table cloth on the floor and fill it with snow! Can I play too?
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lot of fun! I have wondered if they would enjoy something like that!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing as Peggy, do they try to eat it? It looks like fun to me, it's a great way to let them explore and get messy. I don't know what is the better thing to do about making Celia keep the sand in the table or not. I'm always unsure of things I need to be strict on and what I should just let go. I like the table because you can wash their sandy hands of in the water right next to it :).
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lot of fun for them!! You could also put other stuff in it like colored water, styrofoam puffs, etc. when/if they get tired of the water/sand combo. It sure looks like they are enjoying being able to get their hands dirty and mix everything together!
