But the shower went real well. My best long-time friend Julie came along (bringing punch) and helped my Mom, my Aunt Mary (who flew in from Florida) and I.
My friend Julie and I:

I made my first 'Diaper cake' for the shower. :)

Angy decorated the baby's room so beautifully! I love it!

We had subs, veggies, snacks, and cupcakes and punch.

One of the games was 'Who sucks the most'. The normal game is a race to suck all the contents from a bottle, but we did it with take and toss sippy cups. It was so funny! People were saying their mouths hurt from having to suck so hard from the cups! Gives us a new-found respect for toddlers!

Thanks again Jill (and mom of course) for the wonderful baby shower! You both did such a wonderful job planning it and everything went so smoothly! Thank you again for all of your hard work! Baby Lauren sure appreciates it as well! :)

Thanks for all your help Jill! I think the party was a success--couldn't have done it without you! You sure did a good job expaining the games! And your diaper cake was super!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! It looks like the bottle game was a hit! And your sister looks great for being 34 weeks. How exciting to be getting a cousin for Celia & Nicholas soon. The diaper cake turned out really good - I've never seen one of those before. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteby the way, I love the house that the baby shower was at. It looks like a cool craftsman style home, very nice!
I love baby showers and this one was such a pretty one! I love the diaper cake. Jill-- you are quite crafty! They are so cute and quite useful for mommy-to-be, too. I can't believe your little niece is almost here. It seems like yesterday that you were telling us she was pregnant. Time has certainly flown by!
