We went to the Dr this morning. Last night at 12:30 Celia threw up again in her crib. I'm getting good at the strip baby, switch sheets, wash baby, dress baby, throw bedding in the washer routine. Whew!
Dr said he feels it is just a general stomach bug. It should resolve itself within 7-10 days (thats seems very long to me!!!). nicholas might get it a bit too. She weighed 16lbs 3 oz. Nicholas was 20 lbs with his clothes on. I was sure he was almost 22lbs. He feels like a hippo! We have lean kids I guess!
Of course once we get home, Celia has been eating more, playing better and in general seeming on the mend! Go figure!

On a side note, we saw that their Dr is a rockstar. He plays in the band Lovin' Kind. If you scroll down, he is the 'Howie Gollup' - Keyboard player. :) He is a very nice Dr. We like him. :)
So far, Nicholas is okay. But we rescheduled the big 1st birthday party for the 26th instead of this 19th. :( Suppose we should all be well and not contagious anymore by then. Luckily when I called the bakery, they hadnt made the cakes yet, so we are good to go for the 26th.
On the other hand, we are renaming Nicholas to: Destructo James.
Yesterday he pulled a ceramic coaster off the end table and broke it. Then 1/2 hr later he pulled a plate off the table and that broke (thank goodness he wasn't hurt).
Yesterday he fell sideways somehow and hit the standing floor lamp from looking out the window. I noticed a big bump with a cut on his head during the bath. It could've been much worse! This picture was taken seconds before the fall. :(

She is looking good! To see a smile on her face is a good sign, I bet she will be better before 7-10 days. Maybe Nicholas won't get it? We have had many near incidents with stuff being pulled off the table and getting close to breaking. I forget sometimes that there are 4 grubby hands just waiting to get a hold of something!
ReplyDeleteOh thank goodness she looks like she is feeling better:) I hope Nicholas doesn't get it. Good thinking to reschedule the big party just in case:)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see Celia looking happy. Hopefully she'll get over this quickly. I think 7-10 more days is a long time too! As for Nicholas, well, he's a boy--you had better watch out! You forgot to mention that he also pulled the laptop off the table. Silly boy...Grandma might have to do some extra babyproofing! Tomorrow is the big day!!!! How the year has flown!
ReplyDeleteLove that (jelly?) face of hers-- precious! And tough little Nicholas is a bruiser already. Watch out!
ReplyDeleteYour ped. is a rockstar-- how hilarious. Guess it's a release from being with kids all day. Hey, wait, maybe we should join a band, too. Too bad I have absolutely no musical talent, though. ;)
I'm glad Celia is feeling better. Poor Nikolas!! I sware boys are destructive, lol. Austin does the same thing, and it scared me so much but he always seems fine!! They are so brave, :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 1st birthday Nikolas and Celia!!!! Wow time flies!!!
Glad to hear Celia is feeling some better. Hope it doesn't go another 7 - 10 days. Hope Nicholas stays healthy.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to my favorite twins!
Love, Aunt Sandy
Hopefully the 7-10 days won't happen and hopefully Nicholas won't get it. *fingers crossed* When mine got sick in October they both trew up within 15 minutes of each other and then the "D" started for both the next day. They were both soooo sick with V&D and I was totally shocked when the doc told me it could last for 10-14days. He said no food or formula bottles. The poor things survived on only Pedialyte for almost 2 weeks. Once they started to keep food down they wanted food allllll the time. I hope, hope, hope that she is in the clear now and Nicholas is too! :)
