Beware of Baggers

Breakfast? Who likes breakfast. Not Nicholas and Celia. They have been acting hungry for breakfast, but they are happy to only drink a cup of milk or juice and a few bites. Then they want down to go play. Turns out, my mom says I wasn't a breakfast eater either. I still kind of have to make myself eat in the morning. I'm just not hungry. So, maybe its genetic?
Well, today we were pretty busy again. I took them to Pick N Save to get some groceries. I keep forgetting that Nicholas is afraid of the baggers. He always cries when they come behind him with a big bag of groceries to put in the cart. Poor kid. I wore Celia on my back in the ergo carrier to Pick N Save, but in the afternoon we went to Piggly Wiggly for some other groceries and I wore Nicholas on my back so he wouldn't have to deal with the bagger. Those baggers are pretty scary, you know.
We went and visited with Grandma M who is recovering from surgery. She came home earlier than we thought (not to her happiness), but she looks very good. Still taking it easy, as she should for a long time yet. Nicholas and Celia had fun playing at their house. They were non-the-wiser that Grandma was healing. Although I think Nicholas was kind of wondering why Grandma wasn't picking him up. He sure loves himself some Grandma.
Last night Celia was taking a running start to crash into Jason. So, I grabbed the camera. Then Nicholas, who had been playing cars came out of nowhere to get Jason too. Kinda cute. :)

And an interesting thing about Nicholas, he likes hot banana peppers. I let him and Celia try some cut-up pieces for dinner and he ended up eating a lot of them. He didn't even make a funny face! I'm not sure Celia tried hers cause she was eating grapes and she loves grapes. Nicholas also has eaten hot sauce on food and salsa and he likes those as well. I never thought a little kid would like those things!

Oh and Happy 18 months yesterday to my little babies! You are 1 and a half years old now!

  1. Happy 18 months!! Poor Nicholas being scared by the baggers. I've never heard of the piggly wiggly, that's a hilarious name for a grocery store. Sounds like such a happy place, and not a place with scary baggers :). Cute video of them running to Jason. I love how one has to do what the other is doing. I can't believe that Nicholas likes all those spicy foods. Maybe he'll eat banana peppers for breakfast - lol. Glad to hear that grandma maus is home and well!

  2. I cracked up at this video. So funny how they are "getting Daddy", but I didn't expect Nicholas to come in from nowhere!!

Joanna-- no Piggly Wiggly in the desert? What a shame! ;) Of course, we had those in LA, but not here in VA. I thought it was a southern thing, but obviously not since in WI.

Get well soon, Grandma Maus! ;)
