I've Quacked

Today during their afternoon snack I was putting on the "Mommy comedy hour". Nicholas was smiling and giggled here/there (I like to blame it on his teething, not my comedic talents), but Celia was laughing a lot.
I started my show by walking backwards into things and pretending I was surprised (that gets lots of laughs). Then I put cool-whip on my nose and danced around. Then they started making animal noises (Celia says 'arf' for dog, they both say 'ack ack' for duck, and both make a silly noise for cat). So, when they made a noise I pretended I was that animal. When I got to the duck I started playing up the quacking. Celia thought this was pretty funny. This video is of me quacking like a crazy duck - she had been laughing much harder before I grabbed the camera (of course).



By the way, Nicholas has almost both upper molars through. I kept him on Motrin today and he was better than yesterday. He gets kind of quiet, easy-to-cry, and just not his normal self when he is teething. Poor guy. I hope he gets these teeth out soon.

This morning they all went swimming in the little pool (including the little boy, Evan, who comes to our house in the day). Well, later on in the afternoon they went back outside and the little pool still had water in it. I was going to dump it out, but I was watching N&C and they were really kind of ignoring it. So, I just left it. Not 2 minutes later I turn around from pushing Nicholas on the swing and Celia is standing in the pool with her clothes on. She was dripping from the waist down. She didn't seem to mind one bit either.
