Guess what? They are talking!!!! Just this sunday I said to Jason, "Maybe this week Celia will start talking more" ... and it is! They are both copying what we say and doing so well! It is SO fun! We had to stop over at Grandma and Grandpa Maus' house tonight after bathtime to show them how they can both say 'poo poo' . lol
These are new words in the last few days:
poo poo, baby, puff (for the popcorn puff snacks that Grandma and Grandpa have), Beep beep, ball, and Nicholas even almost said 'butterfly'!
They are doing so well! Yippee!!!!
This morning for breakfast I showed them a box of fruity cheerios and they both shook their heads 'no'. So then I showed them the box of Raisin Nut Bran and they were excited for that so that is what they had. They loved the Raisin Nut Bran! They ate their whole bowls.
We had pan fried beer battered Perch for dinner and they ate that too. Even Celia! They wouldn't eat the fish on their own plates, but if I offered it from my plate they would. Silly kiddos!
Did I mention that Celia is very very intent to always have Nicholas in her sight?
Today we picked up a used climbing structure for them (I'll take a picture of it tomorrow). Anyway, Nicholas and Celia were playing by it this evening and he walked around the structure where she couldn't see him. She got worried and looked for him right away. She got worried that she couldn't find him and when she saw he was over by the fence she ran over to him, talked to him and walked back with him. She does the same thing when we go to the park (which we have done more this week). When she can't see him (or me) she gets nervous and seeks him out. Its very sweet. I don't think she will wander from us at all - and help me keep an eye on Nicholas. She is such a sweet little girl - and a little motherly too :).
Nicholas is such a sweet boy. They are such wonderful little toddlers. . . but I'm quite biased. :) I not only love them to pieces, but I like them too. Each morning I am so happy to go get them from bed. There are tough days, but these sweet toddler times will be short and over all to quickly.

I can't wait to hear the new words they say today! It was unbelievable last night how they kept trying to say so many new words! How fun! Being a Grandma is so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThats awesome Jill!!!! Yay for N&C!!!
ReplyDeleteHow cute that Celia is so 'motherly'....Ethan has kind of been like that with Eli lately, but Eli isn't loving it!!!!
Jill your are such a wonderful Mom... it's so obvious you love these children to pieces. Your attitude and excitement is so refreshing and makes me smile. I love to read your daily entries. It really brightens my day.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait to get there (22 days).
Jill, what a wonderful blessing, to be able to say you LIKE your children!! I don't know if you're really biased though, I like your children too and I've never even met them! *LOL*
ReplyDeleteYAY! You have talkers! How exciting. How cute that Celia looks for Nicholas. They have such a sweet bond. I think Brandon can say thank you, but no one believes me. LOL Yet, every day when I feed him bananans or milk, he says "da doo"
